In macOS Sequoia and later, apps are no longer allowed to “talk” to other devices on your local network without explicit permission. This is intended to stop apps from tracking you via your smart home devices or printers.
Follow the steps below to enable “Local Network Access” for desired apps.
Click the Apple Menu () > System Settings.
Go to Privacy & Security.
Scroll down and click on Local Network.
Toggle on desired apps (e.g., browsers and terminal apps).
