General Tips on Flat Tire¶
Rivian provides a tire sealant kit when you purchase or lease a Rivian vehicle. You can order additional ones from Rivian Gear Shop or from Amazon (which might be much cheaper) .
Rivian has a built-in air compressor which makes it easy to inflate tires.
A Rivian vehicle doesn’t come with a spare tire by default. However, you can purchase one from the gear shop.

Tire Installation¶
The Rivian R1S lug nut torque specification is 140 foot-pounds (ft-lbs) or 190 Newton-meters (Nm), according to Rivian’s tire service guide. It’s crucial to use a calibrated torque wrench to ensure proper tightening and prevent damage to the wheel or studs. Always tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern to distribute the clamping force evenly.
Lug nuts are M14*1.5 which requires a 3/4 inch socket.
