Trading Fees

What are the regulatory fees?

Alpaca does NOT charge commision fees for trading stocks and ETFs. However, Alpaca does charge SEC process fee (SEC), option regulatory fee (ORF), trading activity fee (TAF) and index option fee (IOF). Other commision-fee-free brokerages (such as Charles Schwab) charge SEC, ORF, TAF and IOF fees too.

ACH Transactions

  1. There can be at most 1 ACH transaction per day.

  2. An ACH transaction less or equal to $1000 is instant.
